VELOCE Parallel Robot
Robotics Research · Parallel Robotics
Context
Research work on the VELOCE parallel robot at LIRMM / Université Montpellier 2, focused on generating pick-and-place trajectories and synthesizing the control law needed to execute them.
The challenge
Modelling a parallel robot and producing trajectories and a control law that could actually drive it through a pick-and-place motion — connecting robotics theory to controlled physical motion.
The approach
Parallel robot modelling was combined with pick-and-place trajectory generation and control-law synthesis as part of robotics research on the VELOCE platform.
System architecture
Research-stage work: parallel robot model → trajectory generation → control-law synthesis → executed pick-and-place motion on the VELOCE platform.
